Reading up on ZFS on Linux and trying to decide if I want to fiddle around with it much... No real reason, just a learning experience at the moment.

Fu** you windows and your updates, watching the TV and beep,beep I can here from my desk, there goes windows restarting because it wants to...I like to leave certain programs open in certain positions and views and have to launch them all again..
Linux does updates the correct way - no forced reboots, can even update the bloody kernel without rebooting....

but no- boss told me to quarantine and then delete. restart and run another scan.Uh, that's full blown trojan on there. Who the hell knows what was already done and for how long? There is likely other back doors the A/V is not detecting. Is there now suddenly a mysterious SSH server running on it? FTP? New local admin accounts? etc?
Whoever told you to quarantine, delete, scan, move on should go eat dirt. Why are you still working there?

Daughter woke up like 4 times last night wanting to eat. Working on system reloading/updates salt testing (again) and more coffee.

Learning that our new HVAC supposedly using IP to communication with all of its nodes. yet I'm now being told that the nodes daisy chain off each other.
Of course it's possible that the nodes have mini switches in them, so they can daisy chain off each other, just like VOIP phones. They'll be limited to the typical max connections due to latency though.
Still waiting for more information.
