Has anyone used Rackspace Email service? Any experience with it?
How is rackspace support in general?

I believe NTG used to use it for some customers.

It was great a decade ago. Was not aware that it even still existed. Was dirt cheap, and super basic, but did the trick. It was the best $1/user email we could find.

The worst. So bad we won't touch anything Rackspace anymore for any purpose.

Since you guys gave rackspace support such a glowing review, I will not even consider them as an option.
              Thanks!

I know you already decided and my comment add no real value to your decision. But I want to add up that I used their email services until about 2 years ago for a critical domain:

                • The email service worked well
                • The anti SPAM was too basic and was the main reason to move out
                • Support was generally good and sometimes really bad. The fact that I had to call support says a lot as I am used to solve things on my own; calling support only when there are no other options.

I had a client on RS through NTG - it was great for years.. but then they started killing off features, like - couldn't add ActiveSync to specific mailboxes anymore. Plus I think the price was increasing...

So they moved to Zoho - and they hate it.

But Scott will be quick to point out they hate it because they are using the wrong tools for the job.

On the phone - phone built in email app, not the Zoho mobile App
On the desktop - They use Outlook 2016 in IMAP - there is a constant sync issue between the outlook client/webclient and phone client.

other desktops - Zoho webmail - this interface looks like crap IMO. I personally like OWA, others like Gmail, etc.. so this is generally a personal thing. whatev's...

Basically just looking for basic IMAP hosting but rock solid and with decent anti-spam and SMTP servers that don't get blacklisted every other day. And that has solid support that are capable of fixing any problems with the service (not just hand-holding customers).

Got it. Then, in my opinion, Rackspace is not a fit for your requirements unless thay have made major changes in the last 2 years

                        that's the weak point.

For that, Zoho is cheaper anyway. Just $1 and way better service IMHO.

You get ActiveSync or WTF ever for that $1 also now on the MailLite plan.

I really like their interface. Shows how people are different. I especially like the docs.

Zoho? They have my favourite, too.
