      Finally closed a ticket that was opened for a doctor who was trying to access the spam filter from home and couldn't access it. Gave no information and wouldn't call me from home to troubleshoot. Couldn't close the ticket because I couldn't confirm that it wasn't a problem until now.

      The fastest way to get hold of somebody who is having an issue is to close the ticket. They get a 5 day grace period here before we close a ticket due to inactivity.

      I wish I was allowed to have that policy. . .

        I fail to understand why more places don't. If you're trying to get hold of somebody and you can't... Don't waste any more time than you have to. If they're still having the issue, then close the ticket and when they call about it, just reopen it.

          We should have a policy about that 🙂

          But we just move it to "waiting on user" so it clocks against the user.

                    Finished some tweaks on this, which is this as a script that can be run on Fedora for installing OSTicket. My first time making a real bash script. 🙂

                    Next is seeing how to script the database configuration part.

                            3 days to go until I have 3 weeks off. the slowest 3 days ever to dawn on the planet I'm sure.

                              @jaredbusch @scottalanmiller yeah that's what was thinking.

                              What about photos? My mum has 100's of photos ok only 20-30gb but I'd prefer them not to be on the laptop once "backed up/sync'd" so would you trust OneDrive and Microsoft or upload to another cloud or even back to good old USB external drive?

                              OK scratch that it's more like 100GB of photos 😄

                                Re-installing ScreenConnect onto a clean VM then will be trying to get it work via external IP and nginx proxy.
                                Or should forget the proxy and do it direct ?

                                            the junk nightmare continues. Someone left a celelron based Acer "desktop" on my desk with a note, stating, "Works but slow, do what you want with it". Whats a good linux dist to try on a celeron? Probably throw a cheap SSD on it
