I'm getting set to run a one shot for my daughter and some of her friends set in the Harry Potter universe. What are some thoughts or things you all have found helpful when running your own TTRPG sessions?

Probably using Genesys with the HP adaptation made by the guys at Order 66.

This is something that you just have to wing with younger kids..

            There is no right way.

Miniatures for visualization is the biggest benefit IMO.

Hmm, that is a good point. All of the kids will be in their early teens, so not too young, but I know that it helps.

Yeah, into the teens it is less needed. I made an assumption.

Well, it is their first time playing a TTRPG too, so having something visual would probably help. The Genesys system is quite a bit less crunchy than D&D or Pathfinder being centered on narrative instead of mechanic, so you have range bands instead of hexes or feet for range.
