Tonight's plan... updating Windows 10.
ROFL. Tonight's plan: Trying to figure out why my Fedora 27 USB won't boot on my laptop.
Any error messages?
Nope... If I set my Laptop to do EFI (default), it doesn't even show the USB drive as an option. If I set it to BIOS, I can pick the USB drive, but it says no boot device available.
I should mention that this USB device was NOT made on this laptop. I haven't installed any specialized drivers for graphics or anything like that. I want it to be pretty much generic.
Are you creating a bootable disk using Rufus, Fedora Media Writer, Etcher, or dd?
A LiveUSB stick works fine. This is an actual Install to USB.

Somehow today has become a day of Yealink patching.

That's a happy accident then.

Upside is this carpet is OLD and we already wanted to replace it. Of all flooring in teh house to have to replace, this was the one to ruin. So that part was good.

The solution is to not have carpeting.

Is it 5pm yet? Wishing it was 5pm. Going to the Smokey Mountains in Tennessee tomorrow and my wife and I are picking out our land we will retire on. Pretty excited.

About to sort some files/folders out on the computer before shutting down and looking at my SSD situation and streamlining it
Think at the moment i have 1x 240GB and 2x120GB (in RAID0) that gives me 2x 240GB drives in windows.
I now have a "spare" 240GB SSD so i might get rid of the 2x 120GB and just have 2x 240GB, or do i have the 2x 240GB in RAID0 and have one big 500GB SSD drive,
Or have all 4 drives in RAID0
(HD failure not too bothered about as all documents are on OneDrive or NAS)

@penguinwrangler Very nice country out there

It is absolutely gorgeous. Especially to someone like me that grew up on the plains. It is about as flat as you can get where I grew up.

Makes life so much easier than dealing with all sorts of custom ports, and that's just the start of all the advantages.
