Still haven't watched that movie. Looks pretty decent.

        Everything could've been avoided.

Oh god, you made this forest, how about making the damn arch for me too...

              I really hate Microsoft.

For decades Ctrl+Alt+Delete to log in.

Now I do it instinctually even though it does nothing special any more.

@dustinb3403 It reboots linux machines without prompt
It opens a special selection window in Windows desktop.
It opens the signon page at Windows login.

I can never figure out what to do, now, on Windows. Why does it go to a blank screen that you have to do something with to get it to let you log in, yet you can do anything ... but it is often so slow that you've hit more buttons while it was "thinking" and then it says your password has failed before ever showing you a screen to input your password into!

In the context of me attempting to login, there is nothing special about this key combo. . . FFS

Is it? I thought that it was no longer considered correct.

Seems easy enough for me to do... i hit enter, click my mouse, or drag the screen up to remove the lock screen.

It's exactly the same on my Fedora computer, literally no difference at all.

                            What's the problem?

On my Fedora it seems to happen reliably and instantly. On my Windows boxes there seems to be so much lag that I can't tell if it has worked or not.

I've not seen that on any Windows 10 machine. Try just hitting enter... the lock screen should instantly go away (in a swiping way)

Yeah, always seems so slow. I always have to work remotely because I only work on other peoples' Windows, like its terrible menu problems, every little action is way too graphically intensive for something that should involve nothing more than a line of text.

Oh, yeah remotely it doesn't reliably capture the key to remove the lock screen.
                                      You should have specified.

I can't comment on Fedora that way, as I never remotely access the lock screen of my Fedora workstations... and is non-existent on servers... so yeah.

                                      So who knows.

Windows is unique in having this particular problem from what I've seen. Everything from the lock screen to the menu is almost completely unusable over any kind of remote connection because of the totally useless graphic changes going on. And things like searching for applications is impossible with Windows' random "show it, take it away" shit show.

                                            I'll do a test tonight.

First I will TeamViewer from my Fedora laptop to my Windows laptop while it's on the lock screen.

Then I will TeamViewer from my Windows laptop to my Fedora laptop while it's on the lock screen.

I'll put together a quick and tasteless video comparison.
