Thinking about ditching the Keurig to get rid of the whole "warm food/drink touching plastics" danger (see qoute below).... and getting an all stainless steel french press coffee maker, electric coffee bean grinder, and all steel electric water kettle.

Also, because it'll taste way better so I've read.

Anyone have any to recommend through personal experience? I've found some decent ones on Amazon from what I can see:

      French Press coffee maker:
      https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00JE36GLQ

      Electric Coffee Bean Grinder:
      https://www.amazon.com/KRUPS-Electric-Grinder-Stainless-3-Ounce/dp/B0161Q2RUM

      Electric water kettle:
      https://www.amazon.com/Secura-Original-Stainless-Double-Electric/dp/B011BE7V8W

      Plastic Dangers Quote:

Plastics are everywhere and some have been designated better for use in food packaging. They have been documented and only small amounts of plastic chemicals leach into your food or beverages during common use. However, when plastics are exposed to hot water or foods, acidic food ingredients, UV light, mechanical wear and tear, or any combination of these factors, the amount of leaching can increase by a thousand-fold or more per use.

According to a study by “The Environmental Health Perspectives”, even BPA free products are not as safe as you might expect. This study looked at over 455 common plastic products and they found that most plastic products, even those marked as BPA-free, leach chemicals that act like the sex hormone estrogen.

About 70% of the plastic items tested positive for estrogenic activity (EA), but the number increased to 95% when they were subjected to “real world” conditions such as microwaving and dishwashing, according to the study. Such EA exposure has been shown to alter the structure of human cells, posing potential risks to infants and children

Very interesting, but I think we're firm on getting an all-steel french press.

The biggest deal breaker with those is that it needs a filter, and uses a paper filter (wood based). The second is that it's glass. Glass just doesn't last long in my house, lol.

The filters are actually really awesome, but yeah I can't do anything about glass lol. That's one of the reasons its such a good cup of coffee though

We use a lot of stainless steel. Such as Kid Kanteen for my 5-year old and bottles for the now 1-year old, and other metal containers. Trying to stay away from the plastics/chemicals.

                        Waiting for Sunday dinner.

Replaced my unifi AP at home for a Asus AC router. Get better wifi coverage but think it's due to bad unifi AP placement but as we rent don't want to be sticking holes in the ceiling lol.

29 and dropping, freezing rain. House has zero supplies so we have to make a grocery run.

Using a connected thermosatat would let you turn things on when it gets cold and you are not home.

                                  Would prevent those issues.

Didn’t they have some huge security flaw a year plus ago? I didn’t hear if they fixed it or not?

Windows updates on client servers and then rebooting hypervisors.
