As everyone know I love Fedora + Cinnamon for a primary desktop.

Well I missed Greenshot form Windows and @scottalanmiller or someone posted about shutter back in April or May. I love it and have been using it ever since.

But on both my laptop (Fedora 25 upgraded to 26 to 27) and my desktop (new Fedora 27), I have a problem with the keyboard shortcut for print screen. I have to hit the button twice for it to launch.

I did not have to do this on Fedora 25 or 26.

The first time I hit the button, the system tray icon disappears, but the selection cross-hair never appears. Once I hit is a second time, it appears.

If I double-tap the button, it does not work. I have to delay a second between taps.

      Here is my shortcut setting.

If I click on the task tray icon and choose "Selection" it pops right up.

So the issue has to be in the key binding.

Looks like it was @scottalanmiller on April 28.

Are you using Xorg? It doesn’t work with Wayland (at least the last time I tried it).

            Cinnamon Desktop still uses Xorg.

Back when I used Cinnamon and Shutter, I had that same issue. I just figured it was the typical Linux App glitch and went on my merry way.

Now, I just use the default screenshot tool in Gnome 3.26, it's excellent. I hold in shift and hit PrtScn button and can drag to select what I want screenshotted.

I've been using Gnome 3.26 almost since it was released. It's hard to use anything else on a desktop/laptop now. It makes working so convenient.

As a non-related example, even connecting to SMB shares is a super simple breeze via GUI, and making for easy convenient access to it... it's like having a mapped drive in Windows, and even easier to map.

@tim_g I never had this issue with Fedora 25 or Fedora 26 running Cinnamon though. It is only happening on Fedora 27.

I didn't try Shutter in Fedora 25, so I can't comment on that, and I haven't tried it on Fedora 27 either.

                    Well, this probably explains it..

@jaredbusch Which part? That it's already running or gnome-web-photo is missing? The latter seems irrelevant, though, right?

I am sure it is the already running.
