I'm pretty sure the only requirements were to be an Natural born American citizen over 40.

Per the constitution, there are three rules.
- 35 years old.
- a resident for 14 years within the United States, I assume the prior 14 years to Election, but not certain..
- a natural born citizen, which is stipulated but not specifically defined in the constitution

I never do. Causes all kinds of tax problems. To change your residency you need another country to give you residency. You can't just "give up" residency.
