          I'm not an accountant, but the way I see it is, if your income is inconsistent, then cash is probably the way to go. Otherwise, accrual all the way. Flatline all of the expenses.

            @eddiejennings we have zabbix but at the moment just pinging equipment to show if it's up or down. Even in this simple state it's useful.

            Plan on getting to grips with more functions like snmp to switches etc to monitor usage and health.

                We're using it to monitor Windows and Linux servers, as well as the UPSs and PDUs around campus. It's very useful for that type of thing.

                                    Working on O365 migration tasks. Exchange is in hybrid mode now parsing my AD to see which users accounts we have that actually need licenses and those that are not necessary
