Top Features Coming in Windows Server 10
-
InfoWorld has posted their picks of the top features coming in the upcoming Windows Server 10 release.
-
Updates to the GUI and the PowerShell are top picks. Nothing too exciting there.
-
Inclusion of Windows Defender for the server is a first.
-
Storage Quality of Service is pretty major. And Storage replication via "Replica."
-
Very nice! I like the sound of it.
-
A new security system that limits what people can do with elevated permissions is coming but not much is known about it yet.
-
It looks like the product "Windows MultiPoint Server" might be simply rolled into the main product now and available to everyone. No word on what this will look like in the final release.
-
New and expanded functionality to the recently released Web Application Proxy.
-
And, of course, the big feature is that the kernel is updated - presumably making the OS more efficient and more stable.

Thanks
