I was in DFW just long enough to drive through to head back to west Texas.

The joys of OS issues.
Linux has it's quirks, but it's generally not unexpectedly taking lots of time to install updates randomly when rebooting.
Only install on random reboots because hte person in charge did not set i tup properly to apply updates and reboot on a controlled schedule.
Almost all of my client's have the machines setup to reboot Monday mornings at 4am.
This is where automating it really matters. Get those reboots done in some off hours time slot proactively. Waiting on updates almost always causes one problem or another.

You don't even have to reboot if you're using something like KSplice.
Don't HAVE to reboot, but it doesn't change that you should. KSplice is almost a bad thing because of that.

I want to get a group together in town. Been way too long since I had a good group. We have plenty of space here at the house since we have no furniture.
