The big thing is the update to RHEL/CentOS 7 base (WTF is that called anyway? Is there a term for this?)

New Asterisk version? I had not realized 14 was released. Go me for not paying attention.
Though I would never use it outside a distro anyway. So there is that.

It's still not recommended in it, they recommend 13, or did a few days ago. But it is there.

They never recommend the even number versions. I never looked into that. Probably a LTS thing.

Might easily be.

@aaronstuder I notice in the last version (13), there were more adds after updating to the latest release. x.x.x.20

Semi off-topic here, but we still run Elastix 2.4, should there be any urgency to upgrade to the new(er/est) FreePBX?
We rarely change/add anything and Elastix is still working fine for us. On-premise install with no remote extensions or anything. -

Some urgency, yes. A lot, maybe not, some certainly. Elastix 2.4 was dead ended years ago, that means you are not getting patched and are in growing danger every day. Even newer Elastix I would be looking to evactuate very quickly. At 2.4, I'd have quite a bit of concern. The longer you wait, the more risk you take on with the less benefit of the new migration.
Basically, you have some work to do that you know is going to happen. Unless you expect to quit your job and leave the headache for someone else, or if you expect the company to go out of business before it matters, there is really no value to pushing it off, but value to moving it as soon as is relatively reasonable. It's not a "house on fire" situation, but it is somewhat urgent and growing in urgency every day.
The sooner you make the switch, the sooner you have more features, more peace of mind, more protection, more ability to keep upgrading in the future.

@scottalanmiller I like Elastix more that FreePBX, and I was really disappointed when 3cx fckd up everything. Elastix had no ads, it had nicer interface (at least for me) , fax worked out of the box. Hopefully, Issabel will be successful.

That's why we favoured it for so long. But for years Elastix f'd themselves up. It wasn't 3CX that caused them to fail.
