I cooked up carnitas on Saturday and made tacos that evening. It was amazing. I followed it up with pizza on Sunday, and it had carnitas meat on there, too. I love carnitas.

Not really. I bought it as a vacuum sealed pork shoulder in sauce from the grocery store (Kroger). I followed the directions on the package to make it.

Interesting. I've seen lots of different recipes, some are braised in stock/beer, some add lard to the liquid, some are just cooked in lard. I haven't seen the pre-prepped ones.

Not waffles, but I made the kids (and the one roommate) pancakes yesterday. From scratch, they are pretty good.

Not waffles, but I made the kids (and the one roommate) pancakes yesterday. From scratch, they are pretty good.
I do pancakes from scratch every weekend for my kids because they demand it. Well honestly, they demand it almost any not school day, but they learned last summer that daddy does not do that everyday.
