@DustinB3403 Speaking of that, my town is doing a "Solarize" initiative where they are offering lower up front cost to get panels installed and are waiving some of the permit fees. Looks like the installers are offering net metering. Since I have to get teh roof re-done anyways this year might be a good time to make the leap.

huh - I've seen bad power stuff come from everywhere. Why should crowdfunded stuff be any better or worse? If they want to keep the company alive after the initial project, that only happens if they have good success.
