The harsh reality of a liberal arts degree.

      Or really any degree...

Liberal arts may have some of the least affect of this, actually.

Americans blow up the swastika at the Nuremberg parade grounds.

Little excerpt from a conversation this morning:

Person in department: Who's been asking for 'better' numbers? What is the payoff for the time spent discussing [problem that has been identified] so far and then, if changes [to the code] are made, for the time spent on 'fixing'?

Me: Striving for accuracy doesn't create its own reward? 😛

I'm told constantly that accuracy isn't valuable.

@scottalanmiller I find great value in accuracy. 🙂

The conversation was about a raw number vs a filtered number (I know I'm being vague). My argument was filters make the number more accurate for the person to use. Counter argument was that the raw number is more valuable because of X. X hadn't been presented prior to the excerpt.

Q: Should I learn stuff like xlogo (or "things that relate to the GUI") even though I can't think of a reason I would ever have a GUI?

I don't see why, unless it's something that's included in a cert you want to get.

                                          That stuff is beyond useless.

Which means the cert isn't a serious one.
