SW discontinuing MDM

I had no idea this had existed for years.

Like the rest of SW's stuff, it was a tie in to get IT Buyers to purchase one of their vendor's products. It would support up to 250 devices for free. Any more than that and you had to begin purchasing.
I also got a lot of phone calls from the vendor because of it.

Oh, I had no idea that there was part of the product that was not free.

They announced this in the secret, private group a couple of weeks ago, and said we should keep our mouths shut about it.
Seems like a "well, we made this free thing but one of our vendors charges for that same thing, so you should pay them, because they gave us monies" sort of thing.

Oh, I had no idea that there was part of the product that was not free.
It wasn't so much of the SW product but more of the partners service. I didn't have a lot of mobile devices to worry about, but I would think that if you got more than 250 devices without purchasing a sub, then you wouldn't be able to remotely manage devices added after the 250th device.

Maybe if they advertised more clearly I would've known about this..... heck I'm looking at replacing our MDM...

Only from posting, I still lurk.... because they need to be called out frequently, so I'm glad to help with that. I guess they think I ran away after being admonished for having revolutionary opinions about shitty vendor behavior. But I'm still there... Not about to let a bunch of {add your own string of obscenities here} punk me out... especially after getting snubbed at Spiceworld 2016 by spiceworkers with whom I have hung out and had lots of fun with. Seriously, looked 3 different spiceworkers right in their eye, only to have them all turn away, as if I didn't exist... (Funny, we sure had a great time hanging out, eating food and drinking drinks, conversing until late at night while I was there the first time)... If they think they can give me that kind of two-faced treatment without me calling them out, they are sorely mistaken. I, personally, can't wait to hear about the ultimate demise of Spiceworks, what a bunch of disingenuous, two faced bitches. I guess it's my fault for thinking any of the treatment I received from them at first was genuine... it became pretty obvious before Spiceworld 2016 that they were all just a bunch of drones, towing the company line, but I still thought that the ones I had hung out with and connected with wouldn't necessarily act like a bunch of elitist f**** [moderated]. My mistake. I'd be super-fing [moderated]-pissed if I had actually paid for my ticket to that shitshow. Can't wait to go to Austin again, just as long as it's not during their failing sales pitch rally. What a fun town, too bad SW is there too.
