Fortunately not! Just a cheap Asus.
I think it's the stock Qualcom Atheros WiFi adapter letting it down. It might be a decent inexpensive (better quality than cheap) laptop if it wasn't for the addition of that. -

Hah, I started zipping up our seminar videos last week, it's still working, should be done in another 4 days... next time I think I'll just copy them rather than compress and copy them
