A would-be robber was "deterred" by the staff of a CA sex shop recently... they used some of their "inventory" to beat the guy down. So yes, they can be used as weapons.

Just got "home" from the funeral today. Had dinner with my cousins, that was really nice. Dominica is packing up our stuff now and we are driving out to my dad's house as soon as we are packed.

I just found out our project mgr is leaving (moving away for family stuff), and we have to have a "farewell lunch" today at 1.... I take lunch at 2, so this screws up my schedule (I stay until 7, so late lunch splits the day up better for me).

Guess you get to have a 2 hour lunch today! The first half is all business meeting, the second half is actually lunch.

This is probably going to have at least one tearful speech (guy has worked here since the beginning), and I'm not sure if I will be able to drink a beer. Besides, I'd much rather take lunch by myself.
