I would consider Google Project Fi, but that would raise my bill even more - either I'd have to purchase two new nexus/pixel phones or leave them on AT&T and the combined bill would be higher than my current one.

Moving to Tmobile would raise my bill by $20 ($140 + taxes for three phones).

yeah i said before I have two, I really have three phones on my current plan.

That's crazy, I've never seen a plan under the TMobile costs before.

Tmobile is $70 first phone $50 Second phone $20 Third phone = $140

ATT $80 for the data package, $20 per phone including the first. 3 phones = $140

          69VM18S.png

in this situation they are the same price. Once you move to 4 phones, Tmobile becomes cheaper becuase they give you the fourth line free.
There's also the 'unlimited' data portion on Tmobile, but I don't know when they slow your speeds down (if they do). So if you're family a a large user of data, then Tmoblie is also a win.

Now me personally, I get a 25% discount on the base and one phone line charge because of my employer. So my bill is $20 less.

Ok looked into TMobile's discount program.

Well, I don't have a company provided TMobile phone, I guess no discount for me.

                Something else to consider.

TMobile doesn't include hotspotting at there included rates either, for that you'll pony up another $25/m per phone

I wonder what they mean by Twice the Speed? So they are intentionally capping my speed with the normal plan, and they are doubling that speed for $25 more a month.. sigh. lol

Isn't that better than not offering the faster speed at all?

I could have sworn that we had that. Never needed to use it, so it's never come up. But I thought that it was there.

$100 a month for your cell phone? You need some Republic Wireless in your life.

My AT&T costs me $130/month for two phones.

Only $130? Nice... Mine is twice that... But I'm still in the original Data plan from like 6 years ago... Unlimited everything.

yep, $130 - now my real bill is closer to $200/month, but that includes the fees for the phones. But we shouldn't consider those fees when we are talking about the base plan costs.

I considered one of those unlimited everything plans - and perhaps If I started streaming everything over cellular, it might be worth a more expensive plan. But today I have 15 GB/month for 2 people.. I rarely go over 5 GB, so unless I drastically change my habits and start streaming music for example... I don't need more.

200$? Per month? What kind of contract is that? Free new phone every week?

Little price check, Vodafone is EUR 63,07 and T-Mobile EUR 90,63 incl. a iPhone 7, allnet flat and 10GB/month. 19% VAT already included.

Just an FYI, as a Verizon customer already paying over $100/mo for a Verizon phone, to ADD Vodafone onto your existing plan is like an ADDITIONAL $150/mo. I've done it a few times. It's insane how expensive European plans are for Americans.

I'm not sure that's right. When we had international travelers at the last place I worked the upgrade to international, they sent you a new phone for the duration, was only $15 or so a month before international talk, text, and data. We didn't do it often but we had to people who regularly traveled in the EU this way. They were even able to keep their number.

Have other carriers starting having international plans in Europe? If TMobile is the only one, it makes sense that they would be expensive, comparatively, but for the traveler it would probably be well worth it for the lower/lack of hassle.

TMobile is the local carrier in Germany. That's their base.

                                  VZW.
But now that I am with DirecTV at home, I can port to AT&T and get a lot more cool features at a lower cost.
Been with VZW for ages, no service issues. Ever. All of my issues have been equipment issues.
                                  I hate AT&T with a passion.
Do I stick with Quality or sell my soul for budget?

Ting actively encourages tethering. They make the most money from data, tethering is a checkbox in your account management page.

I didn't read all 5 pages, but I have found Cricket to have the most value. It uses AT&T towers which is much better than the other prepaid services that use their own or piggyback off of Sprint (which is terrible).

$60 with taxes and fees included for everything unlimited with 10GB of data.

$70 with taxes and fees included for unlimited everything including data.

The pricing of prepaid with the reliability of AT&T ( I am ready for the jokes). AT&T is acutally the best here in Central Florida. Verizon is right there too, but they are at least double the price of Cricket.

I'm with Verizon too. Scumbags and thieves. Every few months they try to steal from me. A few times they added some bs insurance on my phones, for "only" $10 a month, and reps dared to argue it's for my own benefit. All of that without my knowledge or approval. You're not selling your soul by going to AT&T, you're showing middle finger to the thieves. I was with AT&T for a couple of years and I've never had any issues with service or billing.

Now I'm waiting for Google Fi to be available on iPhones.
