They've been acting like Lenovo it seems. Goodbye company reputation!

If air conditioners, excavators, refrigerators or medical equipment start exploding, then we know they're out to kill us. At the moment, it really does look like it but we need another piece of confirming evidence... Wait, we've already got one! How to make a spontaniously combusting washing machine by Samsung

My in laws just had to have their refrigerator replaced because after six months the Samsung repair man couldn't even get a part for it. Brand new and under manufacturer's warranty it was unfixable! Computer problems.

And, I was going to purchase one of those, too!! 😞

Oh well, I will have to see what other smartphones are around and their specs.

At this point it's looking like the Android phones to look at are

                          LG
                          Google Phone

                          That is all.

I had an LG phone and really enjoyed it. I have a Motorola phone right now but they were purchased by Lenovo so not sure I would get one again.

Dang, that's right. That leaves a long list of....
                              Google
                              to get Android phones from.

Well, HTC is making the Google Pixel, so who knows if they will put out their own HTC branded phone or not? I suppose they could become a player in the US market again.

Looks like it has been permanently discontinued:

There are rumors that Samsung didn't actually replace/fix the batteries, instead that perhaps they only did a software update that limited the charge to 80% capacity.

This doesn't explain the phone burning up on the airplane. Supposedly it wasn't being charged or even used. It was in the user's pocket, getting hot, he pulled it out of his pocket and tossed it on the floor and it burned the carpet as well.

Definitely bad news for Samsung - How do you trust any Samsung phone now?
