Sensationalist click bait article... Putrid sauce: http://www.theverge.com/2016/9/13/12890050/adblock-plus-now-sells-ads
From ABP themselves: Probable propaganda: https://adblockplus.org/blog/new-acceptable-ads-platform-launches-bringing-feedback-to-rtb-and-help-to-small-websites

Twitter, as usual, is melting down with people freaking out about it.
It's not like they are hiding the fact that they don't block 100% of ads.

I don't mind the unobtrusive ads at all. What I cannot stand is a site that makes you scroll past an add, or has a popup that will ask you to enter your email or one that you have to scroll past, or anything that generally detracts from the article I'm trying to read. I no longer will stay on a web site the moment I get an ad that gets in my way.

Pretty much this. I stopped reading a few news sites because they insisted on either a pay wall or a sub wall.

I don't think everything should be free... but either show me a few ads that stay out of my way, or charge me for it.

It's open source, if people actually don't like it, they could just fork it.

I use Ublock Origin, It's faster and use less memory.
And by now they don't sell ads.
