Actually no it did not. I've been really diligent on keeping my updated every time a patch comes out. It's only been in production since February and I remember seeing a security update for my NAS around that time. It was patched the day DSM 5.0 came out, which the following day it went into full production in my environment. I also do not use any of the internet features on my NAS.
The problem I was having last week was a glitch in assigning permissions for NFS shares. Not a problem for newly created shares with NFS enabled from the beginning, only a problem for retro-activating NFS on existing shares.

@Bill-Kindle good to hear. It seems like each week we are hearing about new vulnerabilities in devices that are public facing

@david.wiese That's why it's always good to layer security, turn on only what you need and keep up on patches

Just a side note to address the title of this topic, the issues were fixed back in February.

@alexntg you are correct, however if people haven't updated like some that i know this is still a very real possibility
