USS Little Rock USS Little Rock is a museum ship in Buffalo, NY. I'm going to have to leave even earlier to go take a tour before hitting MangoCon!

Before MangoCon because I have to be at a retreat Saturday morning.

This is actually pretty cool. Haven't gone in years but it was great then.

Slept on the Little Rock when I was a Boy Scout. They still offer troops an overnight experience so one the kids are old enough I have a feeling I'll be back there.

I killed a thumb nail from a submarine in 1986 in Virginia. For about four years my right thumb didn't grow at all. It came back to life around 1990. It's fine now, but the thumb still has terrible problems from that break and a later break a few years ago. It pretty much hurts all of the time.

@travisdh1 I've done the tour of that boat and the sister destroyer that sits at the same museum several times. It's a good museum experience.

Also, for those coming through Buffalo, Albright-Know is a famous art gallery there.

I've done that several times on the USS Alabama. I would definitely not have made it in the US Navy!

I got to tour HMAS Ovens (educational Link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HMAS_Ovens ) with an old WWII Submariner that I knew when I was in high school. Top bloke who has since passed on.

There were still coin impressions in the hatches where the sailors would put a coin between the hull and the compression brace.

I also went with Mrs nadnerB (probably before she was Mrs nadnerB!) several years later..

My kids are still a little too young for this, but we will definitely be taking them when they are older.
