I think the question is too broad to answer. A person may be inclined to think in terms of economic stability and say the 1950's. A person who is more concerned with equal rights would never choose that time period. There are too many variables to consider.

I was born in like the ultimate year.... the year that the Apple ][ was released triggering the beginning of the home personal computer revolution. So my life has been growing up with the home computer revolution as it happened. The paradigm aged with me. When I was five, it was five and so forth. It makes for an awesome perspective on an awesome piece of history.

It also basically mirrors the maturing of video games, as well.

Between the time when the oceans drank Atlantis, and the rise of the sons of Aryas...

Present day is by far my favourite period.

Least famine, disease, rape, torture, pillaging, crime, murder, ignorance, slavery, brutality, fear, distrust, abuse.... I could go on.

The medieval times for me. My branch of the family is comes from royalty in the country of Wales...but a prince married a commoner and they made him change his name.
