I'm going on vacation in August for a week. Probably the longest I've ever taken at one time. I'm not a big vacation person haha. I like to work.
Still hard to imagine. We are forced by law to take at least 12 days in a row once a year here.
That is SO commonly not even allowed in the US!
I know...

What am I doing right now? Fighting with RingCentral for the last 7 days to attempt to get them to address a problem we have been experiencing with outgoing faxes when it goes through the Fax "Printer". Happens on multiple computers, multiple files, etc not constrained to 1 environment. They escalated it, deescalated it due to it being a problem with the file (even though i told them it happened on mutiple files), escalated it again, and desecalated it due to lack of troubleshooting. Then they want me to repeat the hour+ of testing we did on Friday. All the while promising me call backs every step of the way and never calling me back.
sorry needed to vent, I cant wait for our PBX upgrade and for me to take all of this back in-house.

WTF is wrong with the UK and why doesn't the EU have basic voting rules?

Well it would make sense to use a pencil if they were using a scan card system.
But seriously, talk about making it easy to change votes around...

I can't believe that... really. Here, like in every country (at least I thought so), you have to use a ball pen or something that can't be erased like a pencil.

at least you have some sort of paper ballot. We are stuck with closed source code, politically affiliated voting machine companies that do not produce any verifiable paper record (Some do, a lot dont)

The Hacking Democracy movie is actually based on true events of where the company developing the digital voting booths was hacked by a programmer to change the outcome of the votes so that one candidate won.
It's a pretty good movie, I would recommend everyone watch it.

It's actually not too bad of an idea. It's a good way to train people to know what they are looking for. Providing it is on a box with no external network access.

Ok but how do you put it onto that walled off box?
You'd be risking a machine or network somewhere and only propagating the spread of the virus by doing so.
