Voice/Greeting recording for generic holidays and other messages...Where do you get them from?
-
I have done professional recording in the past and have the equipment here to do so. So hence why we do our own. I have had a few others do it in the past.

Recorded and edited all the phone prompts for an IVR system in 4 languages (the HR lady had a nice voice and could speak German, so she was the voice talent). In fact, I'm preparing to do a new auto attendant greeting at my current company. And of course, I'll do a fancy one for the IT department's voice mail, complete with music.

We keep ours really simple. Someday maybe I will do separate ones but honestly we answer our phones 99% of the time so don't need voicemails etc. all setup special.

@MattSpeller We really need to make our own greetings.

You could just head over to your nearest Mac and open up terminal. say -v Kathy -o "audiofile.aiff" -f "textfile.rtf" You can replace Kathy with any of the Mac voices (ie Alex, Bruce, Fred, Kathy, Vicki, Victoria). That outputs it to an audio file and reads from a source file. say -v Kathy "This is our new holiday greeting."
