Thread information bar location

Can the thread info bar be moved to the bottom of the thread? Or some other dynamic location? It is fairly useless stuck right below the first post.
I NEVER see the top of a thread after it gets a few replies. I mostly navigate by using the unread or recent functions and then click on the last reply option to get to the bottom of the thread directly.

As far as I know, that is not configured in the CSS. Maybe @psychobunny can shed some light on that.

I also forget on long posts which OP started the thread.
