I'm assuming this is a top level view of a XenServer and not a VM correct?

In the picture? This is a VM view (but without anything around, which is missing yet, ie the top menu, etc)

@olivier Oh ok so this would be the VM view (tentatively)

For starters I would add the NIC performance to the view , 10/100/1000

In the Network tab I presume. Because you can have multiple interfaces.

@olivier Right beneath each IP address would be even more useful.

The network tab would be used for historical data, and the current configuration, but if you have the IP address on the main screen, the next thing many people want to see is the performance of that interface.

I will only display one address on the General tab (imagine if we got 10 addresses...). Keep in mind the goal is to avoid brain overwhelming with too many tings displayed at the same time.

All IP addresses will be displayed in the Network tab.

@DustinB3403 I can't tell which IP is on which interface.

Does "clicking" on the IP address take you to the "Network Tab"?

Not yet, but that's a good idea yes.

I'm guessing under "Snapshot" there will be all of the expected functionality of XenCenter, create, delete, split etc?

                            Is that correct?

At least what we already got in XO. What do you mean by "split"?

So in XenCenter if you have a snapshot and you want to create a new snapshot, you would select "Revert to Snapshot" with the "Take a snapshot of the VM's current state and revert" enabled.

What this does is branch out the VM so you can work on it at different points, without having to undo a bunch of changes if you were to just make a single snap.

Because you can go back and forth, and see what "broke the VM"

So it's basically the possibility to take a snapshot of a snapshot?

When you apply an prior checkpoint in Hyper-V you are given the option to snapshot the current state if you so desire. That looks like this to me.

@olivier Take a look at Vultr as well! There new UI is very nice, and mobile responsive too!

Okay so it could be 2 snapshots. This shouldn't be by default, be an interesting option indeed.

I know I'm going to get crusified for this, but I really like the design and layout of ESXi's vSphere.

List down the left of the device/server/VM you are looking at.. and the properties of that in the main window on the right.
