        I have obtained another copy of the media, and I continue to get the same error as above.

        Thoughts?

          Maybe they share a corrupted source?

            Not possible.

            The one I was trying yesterday was at a client, I copied the install files from their file server to the local machine and tried installing.

            Today - someone else hooked me up with an ISO, I mounted that include a brand new VM I just stood up this morning to test it.

            Both failed exactly the same. Thought I did the install in the VM from the ISO, I didn't extract the files to run locally first.

              OK Solved this problem.

              I found this page
              http://www.code400.com/forum/showthread.php/10269-64-Bit-ODBC-Driver-Free

              Someone there suggested running the install from a network share instead of the files being local to the machine.

              No idea why, but (I'm totally guessing) that a checksum or something file related was able to be happy when running from a network share (perhaps less checking/relying on the checksum - though that seems weird).

                Now that is a really weird solution that I would never have guessed.

                  After reading that - it sounds familiar.... I don't recall if I read this before or tried it more or less on accident and it worked last time...

                  But yes, it's really weird!!!

                      Here's another option someone else found.

                      @VivekSharma..

                      i too was installing the client access on win 7 32 bit, it work perfectlty, but when installing on windows 7 64 bit got the error XCOPYFILE-2 error, each time on every machine win 7 64 bit, so then to be able to installed the client access, i’ve put the windows 64 bit on safe mode, on an administrator account, then start the client access on compatibility mode, win xp sp3, and start the installation, and the program install corectly, then restart the computer in normal mode, and use the client access.. it works without any error. on every machine.

                        We've never see the issue but then again everything we for installs is over the network. We decommissioned ours fully last month. It was being used for archival data but they got it migrated

                          Well this might have worked in WIn7 x64, but does not in Windows x64
