I just this minute saw a proximity faux pas on Big Bang Theory! A show about geekiness and neediness and they can't get their gadgetry correct!?

I don't watch that show because of that stuff. There is so little basic common sense tech checking on it. I remember like the first episode they talked about how they were "so high tech" and had a T1. A T1 was embarrassing and a decade out of date by the time that episode first aired. Even the non-technical people on the show should have noticed how embarrassingly inappropriate that was and that it made the main characters incredibly non-technical and that they were anything but into computers, they didn't care about them at all.

I lost interest right there. I knew that they weren't taking their material seriously. And the characters are just insanely annoying and shallow. There is nothing to the show. None of it is well thought out and they just throw buzzwords around. Shows about "smart people" written by dumb people are the most annoying things ever.

Oh yeah. They are like Best Buy computer guys in that show. They are losers, not techs.

Not always... but a stupidly high percentage yeah...

Maybe we should make a TV show with loads of stuff we actually do/use? 😛

@NattNatt Omg that would be really funny... if a regular sitcom just got everything IT correct for the most part.

Or just do one episode remakes of other shows to show what IT would do instead of these weird "nothing like IT people" that they have.

I'm down, we just need a few sponsors now ;D

And obviously we'd use British people... 😉

On a slightly related note, I was very surprised to see that in season 6 of Parks and Rec they started using Windows phones exclusively, and what appears to be a Surface. I'm curious if this will continue to the end of the series (still in season 6).
