I'm really interested to see what you have to say. I am really tempted to pick up the Link and Steam controller next month. I may hold off though if this works well.

I want to get the Lync but it just does not appear like it is going to be practical for us to travel with one right now. So that toy is going to have to wait for half a year at least since I will not be back in the US after December until June and even then we are not sure where we will be.

I'm very curious to see how the Link goes. Obviously not a replacement for the PC which is already purchased, merely an addition to social gaming when you have friends/family over.

Us too. But with the travel we don't foresee a need for it so going to skip that for now. We really want one, though. Looks like a great idea, basically a video extender for Steam.

This is basically my use case for it... I would like to be able to shove my gaming PC in a corner somewhere and be basically headless. Then I can flip it and the Link on and play from my couch. I've found that I don't have as much time for gaming of late so this could help in the situation.

This looks pretty awesome. But SteamOS is Linux, how many games is it going to be able to play at this point? I love the idea, but that seems like a pretty huge limitation.

A huge amount of games. Mostly older and indie games but there are more and more everyday. I think/hope once the Steam Machines start to catch on that will push the AAA devs to either develop for them.

Maybe the more meaningful question is.... which games can't be run on it?

                            GTX960 + quad core - I can't think of any.

Because of Linux, not the hardware 😉

Minecraft. It isn't powerful enough to run Minecraft.
