I hate that. just play low level white noise or something so the user "hears" something and does not think the line was disconnected.

IIS 8.0Don't use any of those tools. You are making a heavy decision to be locked into expensive tools and a lack of flexibility. Don't touch VS or IIS until you are far down the development road and really understand why to use them.
