I've never seen this error before, from what I've heard XByte has great support and warranty services have you tried giving them a call?

It's surprising that it hasn't been default for longer. Why would someone want "off" as the default for the past several years at least.

What is the advantage of having it off, anyway? Is there a performance or security advantage for those who are not using it?

Offered, but if I spin up a new asterisk instance on this new server and migrate my settings, I can can turn off the old one and will need to go on site to reconfigure those drives and install server 2012 data center on it anyway. So I will just do it all at the same time.
