VFax on FreePBX?
-
So I've worked a good amount with the virtual fax system on the older versions of Elastix, but I was wondering, is there a comparable module for FreePBX? And if so, what are the opinions on it? Looking to make the switch.

There is (google fu)

There is also FaxPro which is a paid option.

@DustinB3403 the pain with those two is that the first one is inbound only and the second one, as you said, is paid.
However, without having looked into it heavily yet, there looks to be a way to put hylafax on freepbx. Hylafax was used on elastix natively IIRC

You definitely CAN put Hylafax on FreePBX. But you are on your own to do it.

I'm more looking for opinions on any well-known systems for Virtual Fax on FreePBX. Which ones would you guys pick?

Just make sure your SIP provider supports it on their network. Some do not, and if a fax doesn't work due to any problem at all, they will not support you. It may work, but it might not.

Last time I looked into it, I thought that FaxingPro used Hylafax. The magic is in their configuring everything for you.

Faxstation, formerly faxbochs or something of the sort, works flawlessly and gives companies exactly what they really want - the use of a fax machine.
It takes the fax transmission locally, converts to a doc, sends to Sangoma servers then is manually faxes to the receiving party. And vice versa.
