If you want to try and upgrade, I can add a site on my 4.6.6 controller and give you access.

I don't have anything you could downgrade to. You would have to set that up on your own.

What firmware is the AP on?

What version of the Firmware are you running?

I read reports of some folks switching back to 2.4 series over in the SW forums.

You can do a manual downgrade to 3.2.10 as I have the files handy from my recent support case.

This would leave your controller alone and simply let you downgrade the AP itself.

I think that is where this is going. I would rather try that as to have to exchange the unit.

Now, just to make sure your controller readopts it and then monitor for drop outs.

                    Shows Green and Connected.

                    Will update shortly.

Other than using my Andriod as I have,.. is there a Windows tool that will do the same thing?

Not going to add another screen shot,.. but showing 5 drop outs in one screen..

Something is not right with this unit.

It could be the software... I heard from a lot of folks in the Spiceworks forums that they started having issues with the 3.x series firmware, but the 2.4 ones were good.

We Tweeted directly to them the other day too. No response from them though.

I have a response... but only for some of what I have already given... Screen shot of error? I don't have one really.. just poor signal quality. sigh

Your best solution will be another AP to prove issues.

Otherwise, the best you can expect is an RMA that takes 2 weeks. Assuming it is under warranty.

                                      Maybe as such as this?

                                      2015-08-21-175250.png

Pulled out a EnGenius AP I happen to have. The main signal on it didn't bounce around. I even walked around and went upstairs and sat just 3 feet away from the UniFi AP.

Dropping the EnGenius power to just 10% didn't seem to drop the signal level much.

No, you need to get a second UAP to prove a hardware problem or software problem.

If a second UAP does exactly the same thing, then you have a problem with the UniFi software (firmware most likely). If it does not have this problem, then the problem is the hardware. Request a RMA if under warranty and move on.

A lot of the time that can actually improve signal quality haha

Yes, as I mentioned in Skype, I think, pretty much every AP in the world should never be set to high power in a normal residence.

Those power levels will overwhelm the radio in the phone/device.
