This is for my mid-west office.

The current firewall got fried after the last month's storm and I do not want to buy a similar model as I now got only 2 users in that office (I thought I could enable the firewall options on the Comcast cable modem but for some reason it is not allowing me to disable the "remote management" rules setup by the Comcast team).

Can someone suggest some firewall models (not a Firewall +WiFi combo) in the $200 range please?
(No VPN server required, just a basic firewall)

Ubiquiti EdgeRouter Lite $95 and the EdgeRouter X is $65. Pretty much unbeatable.

🙂 Nearly all of us use the UBNT gear around here. You'll find a lot of users in the community, lots of us use them for home, too. Even my dad uses one, and it is what we plan to use for travelling, too.

Their wireless access points are excellent, too.

They are, I have two running here at home, we have a client that has a total of about 12 AP plus the UBNT NVR and AirCAM. The APs are across two sites in two states. They adopted perfectly across the UBNT VPN setup between the two.

Can't really go wrong with the UBNT product line.

Consistently good quality and low price.

There hasn't been any issues of seriousness in the time we've managed them. I will say that the current AirCAMs are really EOL. They are at the highest firmware they can take without 'orphaning' them. So in the future they will need to be replaced. However they are working perfectly both indoor and out.

Hard to go wrong with UBNT gear. Always a winner.

I have a couple of their APs here in the Oz office, they are not cheap here however 🙂
So I was not expecting any of their products in that price range.

I ordered one from the Amazon link you sent!

@sn They have non-cheap APs? How did that happen?

You can't spend much on a UBNT AP here in North America. APs start around $65, that's what I paid for mine. They definitely get up closer to $300, but normally for super high end units.

I bought 2 X UniFi AP AC's in 2014 for A$ 370 each and it looks like now you get the Pro version for A$250ish..

That's SO cheap. That's like 11% off the already insanely cheap price. I might order one, I need one for travelling yet.

I may soon as one of the biggest UBNT Wireless networks on ML based on what I've heard. 72 AP's. Also purchasing a bunch of their switches as we are on 10/100 switches currently.
