Interesting - I haven't seen any of these updates offered

      KB5001649 was issued for Windows 2004 and 20H2, KB5001648 for 1909, KB5001638 for 1809 and so on.

I have a couple with the blank blocks issue and don't see a fix for Build: 19041.867

I'll give it the weekend, then I'll just have to start experimenting.

saying Well - Johnny is just better employee than you, so I choose to pay him more, that isn't going to make people happy, it will likely make them less happy...

You are looking at it from the employer's perspective. Of course it doesn't help the employer. It helps the employee when they can see what X work is worth. If employee 1 makes X for a job, and employee 2 wants to know their own value, they have something to go on. If you don't know what others are paid you have almost nothing to go on.

Remember on Spiceworks when loads of people would claim that $65K was the IT industry cap? Imagine if people (and companies) were able to repeat that without anyone speaking up! People would surmise that if $65K is the top for a CIO, that a system admin must cap out at $50K and a helpdesk tech at $9/hr!

But in the real world, we know that CIOs make well into the seven figure range, admins can get well into the multiple six figures. Even good help desk leads can hit six figures. If we didn't have others to compare against, it's easy to see people misunderstanding the scope of the industry by an order of magnitude.

@JaredBusch Yes, I read it, and it appeared to me to be the same issue you described. Don't shoot the messenger just because you didn't like the chosen solution. 🙄 :face_with_raised_eyebrow: :face_with_stuck-out_tongue_winking_eye:

What a pain in the ass.

Where did you add the registry key?
      HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Nextcloud GmbH\Nextcloud?

I did not add the second key because that was to prevent user override? My users don't have admin rights so even if they attempted ot override, it would never work.

Don't you want to use a cron so you don't have to check daily?

I have other processes that require manual intervention, so checking only takes a moment.

I would still use yum-cron to do it. Just don't tell it to install if you don't want it to. You will still get the email when things are available.

      That does seem useful.

No timers to set like needs handled with dnf-automatic just install and edit the conf file.

Installing it and configuring it now...

If you do yes / yes / no it will even have them downloaded for you. not that that is much of an issue generally.

There really need to be a setting for this in the Workstation GUI.

By default Fedora Workstation + Cinnamon uses dnfdragora which is a totally separate process.

      Yes, I realize that.
This setting exists in Cockpit, no reason why it can't be in WS!

This person had the same issue, see below:
      https://www.tenforums.com/general-support/59759-strange-issues-after-anniversary-update.html

The AISuite 3 with Asus causes this. Just make sure to uninstall or start WIndows without any of the additional startup programs or services enabled.
